Irish Lace Scarf
Created By: Amy Cahill
Pattern Source: other:
I am going to say right now that the original pattern calls for too many roses, and people who have made the scarf are saying the same thing. Six max, not eight.
I also did not want roses around my face and neck, which ARE what's shown on the mannequin, so I ended up doubling things up and the scarf came out pretty busy. I think I probably should have left off two of the roses, but it's too late now.
The scarf itself is super easy; the roses somewhat difficult (I wouldn't recommend them to a beginner at all) and the leaves medium difficulty. I would not call this an easy project: I would call it medium difficulty at the least.
Anyhow, here is a picture of me wearing the scarf. I used Lion Brand Chunky Wool-Ease, Fisherman color, instead of two strands, and I used an L hook and an M hook for my hook sizes.
