These are socks I made for the Hogwarts Sock Swap 4. I used 100% wool in dk weight. It is worked tube sock style from cuff down, I was having issues finding the stitches between the toes for connecting them according to the pattern so in instead of doing M1 I used a crochet provisional cast-on ... then when I was ready to join the next tow on that side I removed the chain picking up each st as it was freed.
I didn't like the way that the toes ended (cinched up), if I do this pattern again I would start with the toes and join them then pick up the stitches and work it toe-up in tube sock style.
Because of the thickness of the yarn I think these are best as house-socks, but they could easily be worked in a thinner yarn so that they would fit into shoes.
