Pom Pom Rug

My daughter, who is 13, wanted to make this pom-pom rug as soon as she saw the picture in the catalog. She made all the pom-poms and arranged them as she wanted them. We purchased burlap to use for the backing. She now has it in her bedroom. It is so soft and colorful. We love it! We plan to make another one with a design in the center - something like an emoticon smiley face. The only downside is the cost. It takes alot of yarn to make a good, solid pom-pom that will endure some foot traffic.
