When I found the pattern for this hat, I had just lent out my K hook so I ended up using a J for the knot at the top and an L hook for the body of the hat. It came out pretty well! I think that for some reason the knot ended up inside out and therefore, the hat is inside out as well but I like it better this way so it all worked out. The next time I make it, I definitely am going to try to do the pattern as exactly as possible just so I can have a reference next time I decide to play around with the hat pattern.
