Floating color bands accent the openwork. Note the little rosebud eyelets just inside the very delicate ruffle - a ruffle that borders all sides of the blanket. The edge is decorated with aqua picots. I knit my own designs with fine yarn on small needles, using traditional stitches and some of my own and every item is a new creation.
The yarn used was Lion's Jamie yarn (and some other remnants), which unfortunately is discontinued. It seems that new yarns these days are heavy and create quick results. So sad. A lot of fine details are getting lost. I am always on the lookout for a fine baby or sports yarn.
"Eyelets" is 40X40" for baby, toddler or grandma!
