The idea really started with the new Vanna Yarn. I was intrigued by those wonderful colors. I finally came to knit 4 more litte blankets after the first one and I am still at it!
This blanket is 30X30" and ideal to wrap a tiny infant up in it, to use in a stroller or car seat or to spread over the knees of a wheelchair occupant. In many instants a small bit of warmth is more useful than a full sized afghan.
I used a cream baby yarn to contrast the mandarin and played around with a drop stitch. This is what I came up with: Mandarin Dream. I develop my own designs and sell them on Etsy.
