I used Vanna's Choice Baby yarn for the first time and found it very nice and soft. I bought the pattern book, Hooked on Baby, a Lion Brand booklet, several years ago with the intention of doing the baby blanket with the kitty pocket. This was the perfect project to do it.
Since I didn't win Vanna's contest, I will send it to a member of A Friend Helping Friends Yahoo Group where the current GOAL is the nursery at a hospital in Las Vegas, NV.
The only problem was that the afghan doesn't lie flat and if I ever do it again, I may work on getting this to flatten better. My grand daughter loved it as you can see in the picture.
