I'm fairly new to crochet. This is one of my first completed projects (ok, so I've made a thousand scarves ; ). Anyhow, one of the first projects I've completed following a pattern. It was lots of fun to make. I made two and sent one to my niece, the other to my nephew. I think their parents enjoyed them more. Very cute!
I did sew the back of the turtle's head to the shell on the second turtle. I found that this forced the head to stay in position (not droop) even when you pick the toy up.
