particularly original ones are welcome, as long as the project was
made from Lion Brand Yarn.
I use the Homespun Yarn to make the Diagonal Baby Blanket for every new baby at our church and for many friends and family members who have had babies. Everyone loves the soft blanket and no two are alike because of the stripe effect from the yarn. I vary the size by doing more stitches than the pattern calls for before decreasing. The largest one I did had about 160 stitches at the center. I use a circular needle in order to accommodate that many stitches.
The pattern is very easy and I can do it while watching TV or riding in the car. I did one of the blankets almost entirely on a road trip with some friends - 5 hours each way.
The pictures are of my favorite one - made from Waterfall. The blues and greens were so peaceful to work with. This one was for our Youth Pastor and his wife's first child which is due any day.
