I also made this blanket for a co-worker who was having a baby. My favorite thing about this pattern is that the blanket is reversible -- there is the beautiful hourglass pattern on the "right" side and a very nice basketweave on the reverse. This was also a very fast knit and I plan to make more of them. Sometimes these babies come very fast!
