My 5 yr old son asked me to knit him a sweater. We picked the pattern together from the Lion Brand site. We really didn't like the color choices of the cotton-ease used in the pattern. Instead, we substituted the Vanna's Choice yarn, which worked perfect and stayed to gauge. I really love the Vanna's Choice yarn!
Overall the pattern was very easy and quick to make. I did find a couple of errors in the stitch count after increases on the sleeves and the button hole band instructions had omissions and said to knit when it should be to continue in the rib pattern, but was able to correct on my own. Also, I would recommend to add on the ribbing instructions to bind off in pattern.
