I went from not knowing how to hold a crochet needle to making the Coming Home poncho in three months. I took one lesson in January, 2005, and learned how to single/double crochet. From there I taught myself how to read the Coming Home poncho pattern which I obtained from the lionbrand.com website. I really enjoy making them. I've made five ponchos for myself, one for my sister, a few for my two-year old daughter and am in the process of making three more for friends and their little girls. Thanks you for inspiring me to crochet. (In the attached pictures I changed the edging for my little girls poncho which was made using Homespun Fushia and I also changed the edging slightly for the one I am wearing in Homespun Antique). The other poncho I am wearing is Homespun Corinthian and I followed the pattern exactly.
