This is the first time I've double chrocheted! It's really easy to pick up. For my bag I substituted the N hook for a K and it worked out just great. I added 1 extra row 16 and then did 2 more extra in yellow. Finally, I did 2 extra row 16s in purple and then began the strap in the same color. Really cool bag and an unconventional way to spend a Friday night. Make sure that you do the single crochet all around the strap and mouth of the bag. This really improves the intergrity of the strap.
