I made this afghan as a Christmas gift for my sister, Amanda. I used Lion Brand Homespun yarn in Roccoco. I found the yarn on sale at a local craft store and bought up all they had in this color. It only took about eight hours to make and my sister was thrilled to have it. The stich I used was simple: half double crochet, chain one and skip one stitch, half double crochet. It's the same stitch used in one of the Prayer Shawl patterns. I'm not sure of the exact measurements of the finished afghan, but it stretched out completely across a king-sized bed.
