Hurricane Ike

We have some wonderful friends who are like family to us in Galveston and League City Texas. This past October they were devastated by what Hurricane Ike did to their towns! We love these places so much and the people we have come to call family there. I made a prayer shawl for both of the Moms in the families. They loved them, and said that when they felt sad with grief from the overwhelming devastation of the hurricane, they could snuggle up with the prayer shawl and pray and Thank God for their lives, and for their families. They were not hit as hard as others and so they were also very thankful for that. My one friend says she curls up with hers as she reads her Bible every morning. My other friend snuggles with hers when she wants to be closer to us who are in California. It brought me such joy to make these, I have made several more for others, and now plan to make some for a cancer charity I support. Blessings to all, S Pfrang
