Mushroom Hat with Purchased Trim

I have made several mushroom hats in black, white, and gray in worsted weight yarns with this great pattern. Once you get going, you can see where you need to increase and once you get really used to it you don't have to count rows so much, you can just make it to the sizes you like. It's very forgiving! It's finishes into a great heavy and firm hat that conforms really well to your head with plenty of room for a lot of hair (as I have!). I added a band of leftover trim I had in this particualr hat pictured, and it worked out perfectly! Very fun and many embellishing possibilities, but of course it's great on its own!
