Earflap Hat

I used Wool-Ease Thick & Quick, I believe. (This was a year ago). My brother was the recipient of this particular hat. I also made one for my daughter with Homespun in Lavender, but I don't have a picture of hers. For hers I used two strands, one of the Homespun one of a different brand of yarn.
I really enjoyed crocheting this hat, especially because I was a crochet newbie at the time, and it is not difficult to make this hat.
Since then I have thought about design and how to personalize the items that I make, and there are many different things one could do with this hat.Vertical or horzontal stripes, add popcorns for a little girl, use shells, or simply use a contrasting color around the edge.
My brother and my daughter have worn their hats extensively in the winter cold, and they love what I make for them!
