The Strength of a Mother

My mother, Leola, is 90 years old and has been through bladder cancer, breast cancer and a benign tumor on the lining of her brain. She also has a hernia which cannot be operated on so she deals constantly with the pain. She is currently undergoing fusion treatments to build her bones back up. Very shortly, she will begin radiation for a slow growing cancer on her kidney and tailbone. I am making her a prayer shawl because despite all she has been through she never complains. She is a strong woman who I love very dearly!I recently received several bags of yarn from the family of a woman who passed and I plan on making several prayer shawls to pass along and let the recipients know about the yarn.
