Gordo and Doug Dolls...
Created By: Andrea Pfannstiel
I loved these guys....They were very easy to make. The pattern was easy to follow and very concise. I did make these guys for small children so I used yarn for the constuction. I did intend on them looking so ugly they are cute and homemade, so they look a little ragged and have lots of character (at least that's what my husband says).
These were the first dolls that I've ever made, so I had to figure things out along the way. The first doll I put together was the blue one. I figured it was easier to put the eyes on before I stuffed it....well, that made him turn out sideways. Instead of taking it apart and fixing it, I just renamed him "Lefty" - he leans to the left. The second guy turned out well - so I named him Gordo to go with the green yarn he's made of (and I like that cute name for a doll).
