Healthy Cells Blanket

As one of our sons was preparing to go through a stem cell transplant I wanted to do anything and everything I could to provide him with comfort during such a difficult time and a positive way to offer encouragement. Using the pattern from the Prayer Shawl ministry and the book Knitting into the Mystery I knitted him a blanket that he took with him to the transplant center. Every stitch in the blanket represented a "healthy cell". Instead of the usual hospital bed blanket, he had his healthy cell blanket to cover him him with prayers,comfort and love.
Thankfully, our prayers were answered.
