I caught the felting bug! I found many knit to felt patterns but not many crochet ones. Crocheting is so much faster for me and as long as I was going to shrink it anyway, why not got the speedy route? So I designed a few of my own patterns. With my newest grandchild newly born I was really into children's items. It took a little bit of trial and error but soon came up with four hat patterns that are fast, fun, and easy to make. And of course, then came the little obsession with needle felting so I could put some really cool designs on the hats. My daughter talked me into selling the hat patterns on Etsy. She designed the layout and I tested and tested the different size patterns. I've got to tell you that I'd rather be crocheting than typing and retyping instructions! I used Lion Brand classic wool on many of the hats. I also hand-dye the Lion Brand fisherman's wool to make some cool color ways of my own.It's been a pretty profitable exercise and I hope people are enjoying my pattern all over the world!
