I found the pattern for this afghan online during...
Created By: Gina Koston

I found the pattern for this afghan online during a Google search. I knew I had to make it when I saw the picture, but I decided to use different yarn than what the pattern calls for, and I also changed the colors around. In my afghan, I used Red Heart Baby Clouds yarn. The original pattern gave instructions for making the afghan white with pink trim. Instead, I made mine pink with white trim. Using the Baby Clouds yarn made the afghan bulkier than it would be if using baby or fingerling weight yarn, which is what the pattern calls for. But I love the feel of the Baby Clouds yarn.

This pattern was exceptionally easy to make and I really enjoyed it as well. This was my first experience crocheting a round afghan, and I loved it! I highly suggest this pattern if you're looking for something easy and fairly quick to crochet for a baby shower.

I plan on giving this afghan as a gift at an upcoming baby shower yet this year. (The mom-to-be is expecting a girl, of course, and is ecstatic - she's already got 2 boys and no girls - and she LOVES pink)!

You can find more information about this pattern as well as the pattern/crochet instructions here...
