our patterns? Hundreds of thousands of people who care
about your favorite craft will see your work. Any submissions,
particularly original ones are welcome, as long as the project was
made from Lion Brand Yarn.
This flat-bottomed, unlined bag was handknit with Lion Brand Felting Wool in alternating stripes of golden yellow and off-white and then felted. Stripes are 1" (2.5cm) wide. The front side is decorated with hand felted orange flowers with golden yellow centers and olive green leaves. U-shaped bamboo handles.
The bag measures approximately 8" (20.3cm) tall excluding handles. The felted portion of bag is 6" (15.2cm) wide at base; 9" (22.9cm) wide at opening.
This one-of-a-kind bag placed third in the 2007 State Fair of Texas Creative Arts juried competition (adult needlework and sewing division) and was on display in a sealed glass case for the duration of the Fair.
Unfortunately I don't have a pattern -- the bag turned out this way by accident...because I misread the instructions! -- but I am planning on reconstructing it so I can make another one.
