Braided Cable Afghan

This afghan is made with Red Heart Sage and Wal-Mart's Fall Splendor (discontinued). I made this for my niece Sara who painted her living room in these colors. I used a braided cable pattern from an older kit, size 15 needles and struggled with the length of the panels because I ran out of yarn. Determined to finish, shortening the other 2 panels to make the third long enough and finally getting it done. This afghan along with The Art of Knitting DVD (I checked out from the library) opened the WORLD of knitting to me. I currently attend a knitting club, visit my local knit shop often, registered with Ravelry, belong to Ebay's Knitting Neighborhood and want to attend a STITCH-N-PITCH game. And of course check out all the patterns on the Lion Brand Website.
