made from Lion Brand Yarn.
My mother asked me to knit her something she could throw over her shoulders when she went to church since the air conditioning always seemed to be blowing on her in the summertime. I went to your website to look for a pattern for what she described she wanted and she picked the Drop stitch caplet pattern but did not want a big collar on it and did not want it made out of fur yarn. The Lion Suede yarn appealed to me and since it was available in the color she wanted I used it, I love its softness! I don't really think "one size fits all" as the pattern states unless you are about the size or smaller than the model. I knitted the pattern as directed then deceided it would be a little small for my mother (size 18) and took it a part and started over adding an additional 10 stiches (I think). I was happy the yarn showed no wear from being handled. I really like the suede yarn! When I got to the collar I did knit 2 purl 2 for 2 rows then bound off 2 stitches for the buttonhole and added them back the following row. After another row or two I bound off. I took a picture of me wearing it and I will be giving it to her this weekend so will take a picture of her in it. Let me know if you are interested in getting that picture of her wearing the caplet. Thank you for the free pattern!!! Laura Sweet
