God's Purpose for Me

I've been knitting since I was nine years old. I've had diabetes since I was seven. Knitting relaxes me and I love to make gifts for my children and grandchildren. Now that I've had diabetes for 46 years I can't walk on my feet as i'ts harmful for them. At the same time my knitting has come in handy to take up the long hours of sitting. The pre-mature babies need hats and booties, blankets and snugglers at the hospitals and our church helps provide those. Guidepost magazine also send sweaters around the world to children and I knit for them. My daughter wanted a vest for my grandson to wear to church and i found the perfect pattern on the Lion Brand web site. He wore it to church for his first birthday. My latest endeavor is to knit dishclothes as gifts for bing night at the seniors apartments were I live. As you can probably tell my knitting travels with me every where I go,on vacation or just to the doctors office. I have so many good people to knit for.
