Knitting and crochet have saved my life! My only daughter was murdered in April of 2004. The only time I don't dwell on it is when I have a hook or needles in my hand. Since that time I have finished several afghans which were donated to our church school auction and benefits for terminal patients. I've also done several sweaters, scarfs, purses (used as Christmas gifts). It's a very rare time when I'm not crafting with yarn. Needless to say my stash is growing by the day! I'm going to attempt the Tree of Life Afghan as a memorial to my beautiful daughter.
Feeling the yarn slip through your fingers is very soothing. I recomend it highly for anyone who has to relax and let the world go by!
