Hot Knitting in the Summer Time
Created By: Jean Knipp

Last year was an unusual, very hot, dry summer. It was so unbearable to be outside, so I decided to work on my Christmas presents. I started out knitting shawls for my best friend and my close family members. All total I knitted 6. While we were confined to the inside with the air conditioning, I simply whipped out my Homespun yarn and knitted some of my Christmas gifts. Everyone was so very pleased with these shawls, all of them turned out beautiful, and it made my summer time inside productive. Now I am looking for another summer project to get a head start on my Christmas list.

The gifts were personal, one of a kind, and each one turned out more beautiful than the one before. The Homespun yarn knits up beautifully in varying shades and looks like a piece of art work. One could even use it for a wall hanging.

The pattern was simple (prayer shawl pattern),and easy to pick up whenever you felt "in the mood."
