When my oldest son (a Navy Seaman) was assigned his first ship, We decided to drive him to Mayport FL.
It would take about 3 days to drive from Wi to FL and to stop and visit places on the way. Rather than to take several small projects along, I decided to try a knitted ripple afghan pattern. When we were almost to Florida our youngest son (age 14) made a statement about his wife would like the afghan. I finished it and put it away. When he does find a wife, that afghan will be wedding present.
