Using Up Scraps
Created By: Barbara Johnson
This is an original... but very simple... I am one of those people that feels "little leftover balls of yarn" are like "orphans"... they must be used for something!!!! As I cannot sit and do nothing... this is an afghan I created by filling a big wicker basket full of many balls of yarn and just kept changing color either when I ran out, or just felt like it!!!! When I get down to only a few yards I then make the little flowers you see.... always save a "green" for the vine and leaves. The entire blanket is worked in Single Crochet, using your favorite hook size for Worsted weight... I vary the number of chains for each strip to give it another "quirky" look.... keep laying them out to see what size strip might be an overall best look... then the whole thing is trimmed and assembled with BLACK....just thought you might like my idea.... bj
