As I was creating this original design from an interesting stitch pattern in a resource book, my husband was describing his day of cross-country skiing. After completing the shawl and noting the "tracks" and "crosses" in the stitch pattern, I thought "Cross-Country Shawl" was the perfect name! It was crocheted with Lion Brand Wool (approx. 650 yds.)worked on a size J hook in a simple rectangular shape to show off the fascinating stitch. A minimal shell-style border finishes it off.
