Accidental blessing

The prayer shawl ministry at my church started completely by accident. I found there was a woman in my church who was about to head to the hospital for heart surgery. She was only 35 years old! I wanted her to have something to keep her warm and that would cover those hospital gowns. So I knitted her a shawl. The church thought it was a lovely idea so now we have a prayer shawl ministry. Several shawls have gone out from the church to women going through very difficult times.
We want to convey that God is everywhere especially near to us.
