Power of Prayer

Whenever I sit down to knit, I pray for whomever the current project is intended for. Sometimes they are simple projects - like a quick scarf for a friend to wear driving to and from the hospital on cold days as she visited her dying father or a pair of booties for a student's new baby girl. Last fall I worked on a prayer blanket for my boyfriend who is finishing nursing school and working full time. While he was busy studying, I was busy praying and stitching. My current project is a baby blanket for a colleague who is expecting her first child in June. And I pray that both mom and baby will be healthy!
