While I have been interested in tis misnisrty for...
Created By: Ang W
While I have been interested in tis misnisrty for a few years I recently had a opertunity to do some thing with it. I first learned of it through two things nearly about the same time. One I joined some on line knitting with out needles groups and I checked out books from our local library to teach a friend to knit. So when asked in late December to make a scarf for a missionary friend I started thinking. I was told he always wears a long scarf wrapped around a couple of times. He had been wearing his daughters femine one while someone we know was visiting them helping with there work. Could i make him a more masculine one? Yes. I was asked to make it black with three crosses on the ends, I used a dishcloth pattern I had made last Easter with a knit a long for the ends. She had no ideas for the length. I thought for just a minute and knew I needed to use the prayer shawl stitch was the what I would use and pray as I made it for him. I frogged a lot for a varity of reasons and just got it done the morning they came to visit our church in late Jan. His family said he loves it. I saw him wearing it.
