prayer shawl

my ministry started when a friend in kansas phoned me to tell me she had cancer. she asked that i crochet her a prayer shawl. i did and sent it to my church-christ community church in weleetka oklahoma to have prayer over it. the shawl was returned to me and i sent it to her with a card including prayer scripture, how to laundry the item and what the yarn colors represented. since then, 1 year ago, i have crocheted, and mailed prayer ponchos (mainly the teens want these) shawls (both rectangle and triangle) and lap blankets. i do not charge for any of my materials nor for the shipping. i pay for all. i feel that as i work on the item, calling out the persons name as i make the item (each item is made at the time of the request in his/her favorite color) i am blessed also. i have mailed items to arkansas, kansas, california and oklahoma. may the Lord keep his hand on them all. nan in weleetka oklahoma.
