Heavenly Shawls

Our ministry started in 2005 with four women. One Sunday during church announcements they came in wearing a Prayer Shawl. That is all I needed to join them and knit. Since then we now have about fifteen women who meet the second Monday of the month. Sometimes at church and sometimes in a home. We have given over 160 prayer shawls and have a scrap book with all the thank you notes from those who have received a shawl. I was given one when I had emergency surgery. At first I didn't want it, after all I knit them too. But my prayer shawl is so special to me and now I understand what people mean when they write to us of the love and warmth they experienced wrapped in their shawl. God us using this ministry here and all over the world. We have some shawls that have gone to Germany.
