Created By: Jill Orent
First of all I wanted to say that I love your website. It has given me a lot of encouragement. My mom has knitted and crocheted for years she I think started when she was a kid. She showed me when I was really young how to do both, but I didn't take to it like I have now. I have gone thru a divorce and the loss of my dad this year so I needed to find something that I could do at night to slow down my mind. So I made potholders for Christmas presents this year. Just really simple single crochet and everyone loved them. Plus I discovered that I could finish something that I started. I found your site when I was looking for patterns for a baby blanket that I wanted to make for a neighbor that was having a baby (she just had it the first of Feburary). I can't wait to give her the blanket and to see her reaction. I am just about done with it now. I am impressed with myself that I am sticking with it and that I can fallow a pattern. I have listened to all of your podcasts and loved them all. I have gotten a lot of good info from them. I can't wait to make a prayer shawl I think that it is a wonderful peice of clothing. My aunt had a friend that made one for her when she was sick with cancer and used it everyday.
Thank you for doing th podcasts. I get a lot of enjoyment out of listening to them. I don't feel like such an old person when I hear your voices talking about stuff that you are working on. I really liked the Vanna White interview. I had no idea that she crocheted.
Jill
