Dedicated for a special person
Created By: Debbie Andretta

As the owner of a quilt and yarn shop, I see more and more churches starting these programs. There are so many different kinds of these shawls. For my own church, I saw a need for the men. There are just some men who are too "macho"

to use a shawl, so several of us are making lap throws and some of these become afghan sized. We

label these shawls for "men only".

Recently, a pastor(my friend), requested that a prayer shawl be made for another pastor who has dedicated his life to helping sick babies that most people would turn their backs on. This is one remarkable man. My friend wanted as many people as possible to work on this shawl and add prayers to it. I often crochet shawls during portions of the service . At the end , people were encouraged to add 3 stitches(trinity) and add their own prayers. For those who could not add stitches, I made 3 stitches while they held on to the shawl, and added their own prayers.

This shawl will be going with this pastor to one of the best cancer centers in the U.S. Working on this shawl for a stranger was amazing, and the fact that this particular shawl was filled with prayers for this very special person. Debbie
