Sending love and prayers

About 2 years ago some of the ladies in my church started a knitting group and titled it SIT AND STITCH. Originally it was only for kitters, but has grown to include any kind of stitching...crochet, knitting ,quilting etc. We make different things including the prayer shawls and everything is donated to some kind of charity , nursing home or needy person.All of us spend our spare time making things.
The prayer shawls lay in front of our altar area for anyone to take and give to a sick family member, friend or perhaps someone in a nursing home. Everything is prayed over before it leaves our church and we pray for the sick people the shawls go to also.
All of us have found this ministry very rewawding and heart warming!
