Customer Projects - Get Inspired
Would you like to share a project that you have made from our yarns or
our patterns? Hundreds of thousands of people who care
about your favorite craft will see your work. Any submissions,
particularly original ones are welcome, as long as the project was
made from Lion Brand Yarn.

Mt. Moriah UMC Purls & Chains

Two years ago, two women in our church decided to start a knitting class. It was opened up to anyone who wanted to attend. I did not know how to knit and decided that this would be a good time to learn. We met every Monday morning @ 10 in the church parlor. This ministry has grown to approx. 25 women and another class was added to accomodate the people who wanted to come at night. Collectively, we have supplied over 3,000 items to homeless, shelters, hospitals, nursing homes and our church family. We make hats (of all sizes), scarves, mittens, lap robes, blankets, teddy bears, bibs for young as well as elderly, walker bags, cathater covers (for dignity). Each item is blessed by our pastor before it is given away. We pray over each prayer shawl as each member of the group helps place the fringe on the ends. Our group works, plays and PRAYS together at every meeting. We are there for one another as well as our community. It has been such a blessing for all, I would highly suggest it to any group.
