23 Psalm bracelt - shawl
Created By: Debbie Wellman

I have the Prayer Shawl Ministry pattern book and use it often. I also make 23 Psalm bracelets using the colors listed below. One of that lady's I work with took that idea and now makes shawls and afghans through her church for those in need using those colors and then gives the Psalm with the shawl. She just incorporated the colors with yarn instead of beads. What a unique idea and I know she has personally touched many lives with her knitting. One was a young girl that was very sick and slipping terribly and when she got the afghan with the colors she made immediate improvement and then kept it with her all the time.

I guess this isn't a big group or really building a ministry but it was such an awesome idea that touched at least one persons life.

The Lord is Shepherd,(white)I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: (green)

he leadth me beside the still waters (blue).

He restoreth my soul: he leadth me in the paths of righteousness for

his name's sake. (Clear)

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, (black)

I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff the comfort me. (brown)

Thou preparest a table before me in the presences of mine enemies:(brown)

thou anointest my head with oil; (yellow) my cup runneth over. (Purple)

Surely goodness and mercy (pink) shall follow me all the days of my life: and I

will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. (gold)
