child's perspective on knitting
Created By: C. A. Watson

While I waited for my son's kindergarten class to end I sat with my 2 yr. old daughter, knitting, and watching Sesame Street. She often watched me knit and asked questions and I often used Lion Brand patterns.

Sesame Street had a brief on shearing sheep, cleaning the wool, spinning, and eventually showed a grandmotherly figure knitting with the finished wool.

I looked at my daughter and asked her what the grandmother was doing.

She stared at the television and happily announced that the grandmother was "Knitting a Sheep!"

I'm happy to say that my daughter did take up knitting as she grew older.
