Artful Afghan Affirmation

I wanted my wedding gift for my best friend and her husband to be something long-lasting, handmade, and heartfelt. After scrolling through thousands of pages of afghan patterns, I absolutely fell in love with the Artful Afghan at Lion Brand. My version is mainly Vanna's Choice yarn, so all the colors flow deliciously well together.
I knit it in two weeks (in my sleep, on the train, and literally minutes before the newlyweds left for their honeymoon), which is absolute madness.
This was my first time using double pointed needles, so it was tricky at the beginning, but the end product was to die for. I almost didn't give it to them.
I am so proud of this project. I show everyone my photos, and now another friend is knitting the same pattern!
