Not only women
Created By: Geoffrey M Gutzmer
Many years back, when I was only about 8, or 9, an aunt showed me how she was crochetting some "bookworm" book markers, and I was hooked! Literally! I didn't really follow up until quite a few years later, when I thought it would be nice to make a project/gift for my mother, who was into sewing, knitting, crochetting, and other crafts, as well. I had a hard time deciding what kind of project to make, untill I found plans for a little purse made from granny squares. After a little practicing, and trying to make nice, even, matching squares, I gave up unsuccesfully, never finishing the bag. Now, about 20 years later, I started doing some practicing different stitches, and have started a couple different projects. The first is a "hooking bag" duffle for storing yarn, hooks, pattern plans, and other supplies. My other one is a sleep shirt/ sleep dress. I put the bag on hold, to concentrate on the sleep shirt, but it is very time consuming! By the time I finish the sleep shirt, I estemate it will be about 100 hours of hooking, but it really helps cut the stress! I only wish that it was more acceptible for guys to do knitting, and crochetting! I love working on it, but feel I have to hide it from everyone but my wife! Plus, there is very little for plans for projects for guys. Lots of womens stuff, but not much for guys!
