The stress of Lupus

When I was little I was a very healthy kid hardly ever sick. Some times I would go visit my grandma and she knew all sorts of stuff she could sew, knit , crochet she didnt even need a pattern. I was little she taught me how to make a chain on crochet but that is all I learn. When I was 18 I got real sick but noone knew what was wrong with me. It seem since then my health wasnt the same. About 10 years later I got married and got really sick again still no one knew what was wrong with me. Married about 3 years I was told I had Lupus and try and keep my stress level down. I thought how am I going to do that I work at the airport for a airline very high stress job. One day I was in Target and saw a learn how to Knit package on sale. I always wanted to learn so I got it. It came with a cd and I made a Hat. I realized that it took my stress away I was contrating on the project and releasing my stress into the items I was making. Then I thought myself how to crochet. Once the whole family knew I had learn how to crochet and knit they all wanted blankets hats slipers etc. It made me happy to see that they like the items I made and the love I had put into them. And every time I look at them I had a since of happness of items that made other people happy plus that took away some stress also. I not saying that Crocheting and Kniting is the cure to Lupus. But it does help me with my stress and its a skill I can pass down to my child so she can have a piece of me the rest of her life.
