Ministry from a Mom's Legacy
Created By: Kathie Schwartz

When I was growing up my mom was always Knitting or Crocheting something and everything. She could make and do almost every pattern and if she studied it hard enough she could figure out how to knit something on her own without a pattern. She taught me and gave me the same love for this craft that she had and also the same prefrence for knitting. I don't yet have her gift for knitting something without the pattern yet but am hopeful for that gift someday. Our church started a Prayer Shawl Ministry and when my mom got sick and had to be in the hospital our minister brought her up a shawl and prayed with her. Since she has passed away I have started to knit Prayer Shawls as a thank you and as a tribute to the talented lady that taught me to knit and crochet and love it as she did. I did aquire all of her yarn and needles after she passed away so I will be busy for many years to come and am looking forward to happy knitting times.
