Back when the earth was cooling, I was having learning problems and hated my school; my cousin in South America was in the same predicament. My aunt and my mother decided we cousins should change places; I to go down there, and she to come to the USA. I was excited but fearful, self confidence at a low ebb. My best friend here told me to take up knitting and get my mind off it! I started with a pot holder; saw a pair of argyles and got so occupied with the bobbins, etc. that I forgot my problems! I was still knitting them on the plane (before jets) to S.A. and most of the 50 or so passengers got curious; the steward must have told the pilot as he came down to take a look! By the time I got to S.A., I had had a great time and my outlook had changed for the better!
