Depression Reliever

At the age of 62 I was battling depression after the loss of my husband to cancer. We had just retired, sold our horse farm and decided to buy a RV and travel until we were too old to do it. We were having the time of our lives when he was diagnosed. The bottom fell out of my world when he died and I really didn't care if I lived.
My daughter asked me if I wanted to go with her to take knitting lessons and I agreed to go. We took two classes learning the basics and I was hooked. It has been a life saver. I still miss my husband terribly but knitting has given me something to keep my mind and hands occupied. I am now involved with a knitting group and am going to help teach others the basics. The only negative is I am going broke buying yarn. I am addicted but do not want to be cured.
