passing on a legecy
Created By: Lucy Torkos
My story is one I love to tell. As a young girl I always wanted to know how to knit or crochet. I tried to learn from books but just couldn't do it. Then I met my boyfriend's mother and she was a wiz when it came to crochet! I asked her to show me how to do it and she was more then happy to do so. She taught me several stitches and I was soon on my way to making blankets for everyone!
I married this boyfriend 37 years ago and my mother in law passed away many years ago but I will never forget her teaching me how to crochet.
Over the years I have become to be know for my blankets as gifts for baby showers or as wedding gifts and I can proudly say there are many many blankets out there with my love stitched into all of them.
I recently had the peasure of teaching a co-worker/friend how to crochet and she is now making blankets for baby's showers and family as well. I will always think of my mother in law with ever blanket I make and now I have passed on her gift to
someone who I hope will pass it on also.
