Mother Day

My mother's birthday was on May 1st, so the week between it and Mother's Day I would do something special for her every day, until the day after Mother's Day.
When my Mother passed away in August 03, I asked God, "What can I do now for Mother?"
God told me, "You are to pick out every Mother's day a special lady (a special is one who didn't have children) in your church, and you are to crochet them an afghan for Mother's Day." The fun part of this the lady doesn't know anything about it.
I talked to a family member to make sure I want hurt her feeling, to find out what color she would like. I never use the same pattern twice.
Unless God puts new members in our church I will make my last afghan next Mother's Day.
I'm praying to God now about what he wants me to make.
This has help me get through my mother's birthday and Mother's Day... It has made a few ladies smile and feel special. I have got some great thank yous. I tell them to thank GOD!
